The Bangalore-based girl, who migrated to Kollywood with films such as Udhayan and Saguni, is now doing a Kannada film

It seems things are back to square one for Sandalwood actor Pranitha Subhash.
The actor is all set to star in the movie titled Whistle, which is the remake of the recent Kollywood hit Pizza. Starring Chiranjeevi Sarja in the lead role, Whistle will be helmed by debutant director Prashanth Raj. “I am happy to direct such a great script. We bagged the remake rights of Pizza after stiff competition and I am sure it will surely wow the Kannada audience,” said the director.
Vijay Sethupathi and Ramya Nambeesan played the lead roles in the Tamil film Pizza, directed by debutant Karthik Subburaj. The small-budget film was a box office hit.

Pranitha Subhash is an Indian film actress and model from Bangalore, who appears in South Indian cinema. Background Pranitha was born into a Kannadiga family. Her father Subash is a physician and her mother Jayashri is a Gynaecologist. They run a hospital in Bangalore. She is the only child of her parents. Film Career Pranitha started her career with the Kannada remake of the Telugu blockbuster Pokiri, opposite Darshan. The movie was titled 'Porki'. After the success of Porki, she refused several offers from Kannada films and became choosy about her projects, before signing the Telugu film Baava, a love story where she starred opposite Siddharth. She was praised unanimously for her portrayal of a Telugu village belle in this movie. She went on to appear in her first Tamil film, Udhayan starring Arulnidhi. She was then signed up for her second Tamil project Saguni opposite Karthi which released in both Tamil and Telugu. Saguni was her biggest release. In fact it released in a record 1150 theaters all over the world and 450 theaters alone in Telugu language. It was the highest Tamil movie to do so after Rajnikanth's Robot. She then acted in the Kannada film Jarasandha directed by Shashank Raj. She then acted in the Om Prakash Rao directed Kannada film, 'Bheema Theeradalli' opposite Duniya Vijay which was a massive hit in Karnataka, especially north Karnataka. It was based on the real life story of a Naxalite. Pranitha was praised for her portrayal of Bheemavva by critics. It has been her most intense role so far. Her most recent release is Mr 420 in which she starred opposite Ganesh. Pranitha starred along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu opposite Pawan Kalyan in Blockbuster Atharintiki Daaredi (2013). She got great following after the release of Attarintiki Daaredi and Filmnagar source says that she got the offer from Pawan Kalyan to starrer in Gabbar Singh sequel.
