Rakul Preet Singh was born on 10 October 1990 in Delhi. She completed her primary education from Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan. She was a student of Mathematics at Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. She is an active golf player and also played nationals. She has done modeling for two years and then entered Miss India finals. Rakul has made her acting debut with the Kannada movie "Gilli".
